2014 EAST COAST CHALLENGE

Postby drscope » Mon Aug 11, 2014 7:00 pm

The Planning Committee is well underway in preparations for the 6th annual ECC scheduled for October 4 & 5, 2014. We promise no surprises of missed runs like last year as we WILL be working very closely with the local jurisdictions and communities on this year's event! We will have a few new hills, as well as a few tweaks to classes and scoring.

We will have 3 classes this year! Spec Cars, Unlimited Cars, and Super Cars. Spec Cars are on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis, so if you want to race in the Spec Car Class and run 5 or maybe 6 hills, you need to sign up NOW! If you want to run a Spec Car but a car is not available, you still have time to get one built, but you need to get started SOON! So again if this is your situation, lets us know so we can get your build started!
Tentative plans at this point are:
The Spec Cars will be running a minimum of 5 hills.
The Super Cars will be running ALL 6 hills.
The Unlimited Cars will remain on the usual ECC elimination schedule.

In addition we are also putting the invitation out to other gravity disciplines to join us. Gravity Bikes, Gravity Trikes, Gravity Side Cars, Long Boards, Street Luge, etc. If it rolls down hill by gravity, we have put out the invitation!

We would really like to get a tentative head count if we can as we are negotiating with a NEW hotel to be the "official hotel" of the 2014 ECC. We need to let them know how many rooms to block for us.

So if you plan to attend as a driver, please let us know!
If you plan to attend as a helper/worker, please let us know!
If you know of someone else who would like to attend as a driver, helper, worker, photographer, journalist, spectator, groupie, etc., please let us know!

This is NOT the time to be silent! We really need to hear from YOU!

We have some of the fastest gravity cars in the world signed up to attend.

We have drift trikes signed up to attend.

But the luge world is silent. I don't get it.

We try to give you guys an event you can participate in and we ask for your input but we might as well be talking to a tree.
