Greetings from Ohio,
I used to ride with Don Halpern (Dondo) in southern Ohio, yes we bombed Jester Hill before it was raced .
Am looking to see if any folks still ride in the Ohio area. I haven't ridden for some time and am going to get back into hitting the hills this summer.

there's about 5 others that i know of, two (me and my son) in Cinci. and 3 in Columbus. and a few speed boarders, there's a good chance that the race in Bainbridge is gonna happen the first week in Oct. this year

Sweet, I thought they canceled the races in Bainbridge years ago. That would be great to get back into it again. I haven't ridden in years, since I've been back in the military and Playing in THE SANDBOX. Sweet, I thought they canceled the races in Bainbridge years ago.

The races in Bainbridge were never "cancelled." Just no one stepped up to put the race on the following year. Putting on a race takes time and money.

Chris ..Great to hear from you. We met down at Bainbridge in 2001 if my fading memory is still working. I just pulled the luge out again after almost 10 years, polished it up and am getting ready to ride this summer, Luge Gods willing. I got back into the army and had to make a detour to the Sandbox for a year. Ever since I've been busier than I ever thought possible. Now that I am stateside again I am hoping for some me-time (on the luge) and to get back into luge some more.
Sadly I no longer work in the machine trade, as I now work for Uncle Sam as a Military Technician full time.
Still if I can be of any assistance in some way to any one out there, please fell free to drop me a line. I will try to get back to you as soon as humanly possible. Always willing to share knowledge as I don't have the market cornered on it.
