.........................THAT WAS COOOOLLL!!!!

I must say, I am supremely impressed. Any event that can get the cops on your side to the extent I saw last weekend is something to be marveled at. Good job Dave/Bill.

I had an AWESOME time riding with y'all this weekend!!!

Great to see some familiar faces for the first time in years. I must say, I hit every single run and my abs, neck, and biceps are KILLING me today. Nothing a little bit of vitamin "I" can't help. These hills are really a gift to us and need to be protected. I couldn't thank the authorities enough for the few unscheduled road closures they gave us, the pictures they took, and for taking out the radar guns. Deadmans with no braking was epic. Running "3.5" three times in a row was a workout no infomercial product could achieve.

I'm in the painfull process of editing hours of HD footage on an 8 year old laptop and getting a video up. I think everyone who was riding with cameras (which was just about everyone) handed thier footage over to the Texas crew for editing. Between all of us, it should be some good watching!!!

I had lots of fun for the short time I was with you all. Thanks for being so inviting to this old roller skater! This trip was all planned at the last minute, so I had to leave after crashing the bunny hill on Saturday. I'm okay! Nothing but my first official road rash and a bruised and sprained wrist. I think I would have fared much better with my wrist guards and elbow pads rather than an ill-fitting leather jacket. Oh well. Thanks to Boomer for my new butt board! I will get this built ASAP and start practicing for next year. I hope to see you all sometime in the near future.

I was a bit nervous about getting back on a luge after my back surgery six months ago, but I couldn't have asked for a better weekend to get reaquainted with my sled and my fellow downhillers. Thanks to everyone who came out and made the weekend the great success it was. I don't think there is anyplace on the planet where the local authorities make such an effort to take care of our kind. They were literally ticketing motorcycles for going 60 in a 55 while clocking us on radar going much faster. Even the stand-up guys were breaking 60mph. The most memorable part of the weekend for me was when a bear crossed the road right in front of me during an 82.4mph run while the local law enforcement was blocking traffic for us. One day I'll be tellin' the grandkids about that one.

I can't wait to go back!

Big Thanks to Dave, Bill and all those who made it happen. It was another epic event with 33+ runs for me over three days on the most wild runs on the planet. As far as the video goes it will be a few days before I have the time to upload, but I promise it will come. Great times with great friends, what could be better?! 8)

Thanks for posting the vid! I wish I could have gone but did have mine built yet. Also glad to see some butt boards there too. My first one is only 3 weeks old and I really like it. I hope I get to go with you guys one day soon.
